One of the greatest joys of holiday shopping is discovering that perfect gift, the one that you know the children will love. Part of that joy is the joy of a scavenger hunt – finding priceless treasures where no one else has looked. For preschool age children, that treasure comes in the form of the Why Guy.

Although he may sound like a superhero, the Why Guy is really just another curious kid with a bow tie, an argyle vest and endless questions who has set out to get some answers. In his first DVD, the Why Guy is on a mission to see what it’s like to be a firefighter.

In “Why Guy Questions A Firefighter!,” the Why Guy gets answers while he tours a fire station, learns about firefighting equipment, and discovers what it’s like to live at a fire station. There’s plenty of action footage of firefighters on the job, battling flames and helping neighbors throughout the community. Children are also introduced to fire safety concepts including “Stop, Drop and Roll” and “Crawl Low and Go” to help educate them on what to do in case they ever encounter a fire.

Bonus material on the DVD features a step-by-step lesson in drawing a fire engine, so children can sit down with their crayons and paper, follow along and successful complete their own drawing.
